WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — If you’re in the mood for peaches this weekend, the Wichita Falls Farmers Market on 8th and Austin Street is the place to be.

From 7:30 a.m. to 1 o’clock in the afternoon, peaches of all shapes, sizes, and forms will be available. Peach cobbler samples will also be available during the middle of the market’s opening.

Market Manager Gabriele Poenitzsch said peaches from all over Texoma will be available for Peach Day.

“We bring in local peaches from local farms, so Jetton Farms and Morath Orchards are going to have some. We also have vendors. There’s going to be about 30 to 40 vendors that are going to have peach products,” Poenitzsch said. “So, if you can’t get the peaches, you can get the products that have peaches in it.”

Other peach-related activities will be held along with the main farmer’s market. Kids Club will be from 10 a.m. to noon, and peach cobbler samples will be available from 9-11 a.m. Poenitzsch also said the Wichita Falls Farmers Market Association confirmed that Super Mario Bros and Princess Peach will make an appearance.
